While searching for articles mentioning indymedia on google news i came across a review of The Fountain at the Center of the World
A Novel by Robert Newman. It's about globalization, borders, immigration, resistance, protests, and life. Newman's an activist who's working with PGA, Indymedia, and Reclaim the Streets. Apparently according to the UK indymedia activists I just wonder how somebody like that got their first chapter of their book printed along with a review in the NY Times Book Review.
For those of you on the left coast of the US, you can still catch him at your local infoshop as he passes through with his book tour. It looks like it should be an interesting read if you see it floating around. It's really good news for Soft Skull, a major hit like this can keep a small lefty independent publisher in the black for a long time.
