A FooCamping I go

This weekend i’m going up to Sebastapol for the much discussed foo camp. Last year i thought it would be a one off thing, but one thing lead to another and i’m back. Hopefully this time i’ll be a little less shy.

I tried out the new rails blogging platform, Mephisto, for my testing rails blog and i really like it. When i had to upgrade anarchogeek and move to a new server, i decided it was easier to upgrade to a new platform than either upgrading to typo 4.0 or getting an old version to rails running on the new box. So here i am, things are still clunky and the design needs some tweaking, but it’s the brand new anarchogeek, just like the old. It’s my 4th blogging platform, the first was a little program i wrote called features.cgi, then moveabletype, then typo, now mephisto. Hopefully i wont’ have to change again this year.
