Odeo clone for $3000

Today while looking through various blog posts about odeo i came across somebody requesting bids for a $3000 clone of odeo.com. I suspect that the clone won’t be so good given the RFP didn’t even include the same technologies as odeo uses. They ask for \x0AAudio Services, C/C++, Java, PHP. We do have audio services which are written in C, but we’ve got no (almost no) php or java. I have to imagine if it took us 9 months using rails instead of java that we wouldn’t have been able to pull it off for $3k. Funny thing is the poster hasn’t even figured out that to do the studio you need flash. The flashcom license alone costs more than the whole cloners budget. Fun fun… Speaking of which, there are other sites such as pod-o-matic, audioblog, and loomia which do provide a lot of the same services as odeo. But, i doubt they consider themselves odeo clones. They probably put a lot more time and effort in to their sites than asking for a $3000 outsourced site with spelling errors in the RFP.
