Indymedia Katrina Coverage

Indymedia activists and others have been very active in responding to the Hurricane Katrina disaster. In Houston indymedia and low power fm radio activists have setup a disaster information radio station, with FCC licenses no less.

As part of the indymedia usa site there is a topical site covering katrina.indymedia.us with news from across the indymedia network.

The New Orleans IMC has breaking coverage. A number of activists have setup a media center in the algers neighborhood. Jebba, an indymedia activist and blogger, has setup katrina feeds a site bringing together blog posts about the disaster and recovery.
