PRX Launches New Site

Seth has finished up a lot of work and relaunched the public radio exchange site. It’s a directory of radio programs for english speaking public radio stations to share and license programs for airing. It’s not quite podcasting and it’s a little more market place than i’d choose, but it’s a really cool site.

Creating an audio directory is hard. Prx does a good job. Better than amarc who has been trying for years to build such a directory for it’s community radio stations, and radio4all which is a more radical / open directory but is harder to navigate and use.

For anybody in to listening to good radio i recommend browsing prx. For podcasters you should check out the production quality and formats which exist in the best of radio. While podcasting is potentially a differnet format, knowing how to tell a story well with audio, is not new.
