Wow, that's cool javascript / dhtml / ajax

In a fit of procastination i just came across sproutliner, yet another todo list. The app is mostly javascript, but damn is it pretty. It’s like tuffte does ajax outlines. The resizing of columns, the interface for adding data, for putting in information, it’s amazing. Check out this test example to see what a full list looks like. Everything is editable, there is no difference between the read and the write of the web. Transparent inline editing is great. We’re hoping to some of that in odeo. Blending the lines between reader and contributor outside the narrow confines of only being able to attach comments and more organized than a free form wiki.

Unfortunately sproutliner doesn’t seem to yet have a good web api or ways of getting the data out. I’m sure that’s something which can be added.

This combined with greasemonkey and universal feeds / xml for webservices makes me feel like this really is a new web all over again.
