Protests in Argentina

Just in case folks where interested, there’s a big series of protests happening in Mar del Plata, Argentina around the Summit of the Americas. It’s supposed to be an extension of the FTAA but thankfully that process is not going well for US. Social movements are focusing on three things, general opposition to bush and american imperialism, opposition to the war in / occupation of Iraq, and opposition to neoliberal economic policies advocated under the FTAA.

There’s pretty good coverage on argentina indymedia in spanish and Real World Radio in english / spanish / portuguese.
