Emerging Telephony: Rabble and Blaine - Phone Communities and Activism Showcase

So it’s official now, Blaine and i are going to be giving a short talk titled “Rabble and Blaine – Phone Communities and Activism Showcase” at the O’Reilly Emerging Telephony conference on telephony activism.

It’ll be fun to talk about some of the non-corporate models of using innovative telephony applications. It’ll include talking about the election fun we had a year ago with micah and gaba.

The E Tel conference should be really interesting, looking at telephony beyond just the cheap calls of voip. Hopefully we’ll be podcasting it so everybody who isn’t there can hear it as well.

It’s funny, i’m going to be listed as just ‘rabble’ in the conference program. No more full name. I kind of like it. It’s surreal to think my activist / indymedia name has taken over to the point where it’s what i’m using for professional tech conferences.
