Today i finally broke down and ordered a gp2x hand held game console. It’s kind of like an open linux based version of a psp. It’s a little bigger, lacks wifi, and the screen isn’t quite as high quality. But there is a big plus in that it’s open, drm free, and based on linux. That means emulators. I don’t like playing first person shoot-em-up games, but i really like strategy and puzzle games. There are generations of those games already out there. The gp2x runs emulators which let me play all those great legacy games. And it’s got a media player for watching movies / tv shows.
