ActionDirectory Project

For the last couple of months i’ve been working on designing an online activist directory program called ActionDirectory. It’s not ready for primetime but a few sites are starting to use it and i’m doing early beta testing on it. The idea is to provide a tool which can be used as a hosted service, installed as a web application, as web services, and as a distributed network of directories. Eventually with a bunch of groups signed up, we’ll be able to have a world wide directory of social movements, which isn’t controled by one group, but is the sum of the project of a network of social movement websites.

Now that the site is ready for folks to see, i’ll be blogging more about the project which has been semi-under wraps until now.
